We looked at another place today. Good neighbourhood, great price, and the landlady didn't seem to mind the possibility of paint on the ceiling.

We almost took it. And we would have done if the restaurant the flat was above hadn't chose that moment to turn on their karaoke machine. Sorry, but I wouldn't want to live there for free knowing that every tone-deaf warble could be heard through the floor. D:
