Yes, things are much better.

cons_detective is napping on the sofa with his feet in my lap and has calmed down a lot since this morning.

But man, I'm telling you. Waking up to a kettle being thrown across the kitchen is not good for PTSD. So I woke up in a bad mood because he was in a bad mood, and I may have come off a bit more harsh than I'd meant to in my post this morning. Add to that I didn't get my tea because the kettle had broken when it knocked the drying rack for the dishes off the counter, and no-one was happy.

Again, and I don't think I said this enough last time, thank you to those who were trying to be comforting to him yesterday. I think it does help him to know that not everyone out there dislikes him, even if he doesn't quite know what to do with that information.

Yeah, you know. Just a few people -- those I've known for a while and all that. But don't feel guilty if you can't make it or have to drop out. I know you've got an insane job, and I don't know how you handle it. I can barely get through a day at the surgery sometimes.

andres_son gathered around the portable tv we got for camping trips trying to make the blasted thing work long enough for us to catch the whole episode. That's what recording it all's for though, I suppose.

You have no idea. But you're right - maybe I'll just watch it at home. Five screaming kids isn't half as bad as the lot here... ;-)

I've had all five of mine ill at the same time. This place is worse.

Especially when a meth addict breaks loose and starts running amok. I swear, it's like a zoo around here sometimes...

I've never understood how someone could do that to themselves, but that's the doctor in me talking.

I don't see it too frequently, thank goodness - that division's in a different area of the building - but occasionally one of them does something to bring themself to our attention or gets away from someone and decides to go floor hopping in the lift and we find ourselves with an unexpected visitor but just those few encounters...

I think when my kids get old enough to start thinking about experimenting with that sort of thing I'll just borrow some of the drugs squad's interview footage. Should put them off for life, I'd think...

Yeah, that ought to scare them out of it for sure. Or I'd imagine. IDK, I only know what I've seen on telly.

Anyway, it's late, and I have to be getting to bed. I sort of stayed up a bit later than I'd meant to. D:

I know he likes you, which was very refreshing to learn, so that should make things easier at least. I'm just hoping he and Harry don't come to heads.
