Yes, things are much better.
cons_detective is napping on the sofa with his feet in my lap and has calmed down a lot since this morning.
But man, I'm telling you. Waking up to a kettle being thrown across the kitchen is not good for PTSD. So I woke up in a bad mood because he was in a bad mood, and I may have come off a bit more harsh than I'd meant to in my post this morning. Add to that I didn't get my tea because the kettle had broken when it knocked the drying rack for the dishes off the counter, and no-one was happy.
Again, and I don't think I said this enough last time, thank you to those who were trying to be comforting to him yesterday. I think it does help him to know that not everyone out there dislikes him, even if he doesn't quite know what to do with that information.

Is the offer from yesterday still valid for...tomorrow, at the earliest?

We'll try to get some stuff cleared up before you come over. I'd planned on trying to get to it today, but... you know. Stuff.

Will you be joining us this time, or still going to be busy?

I haven't thrown a tea kettle, but I did once throw a candlestick at a boy who was being horrible. Fortunately my sports skills are very bad and I missed (and the candlestick was fine).

So far I've only thrown it at a wall once, though. And I was mid-nervous breakdown at the time, so. Yeah.

Maybe only allow him to throw his own things. At his own things.

A good rule would be that if you break something belonging to the other person, you have to replace it.
Maybe you can throw things, but only socks...

Should I be worried?

I was just attempting to make a joke about how he seems to like someone in return.

(This is exactly what I meant when I told him I worry about you. Just saying.)

*not even going to ask about that*

Are those plastic eyes??
And I have to side with him on this one, and not just because I'm dating him. People kept accusing him of lying and deliberately doing something that he didn't do. I'd probably get upset, too.

I'm glad the both of you are feeling better.

@jumperfucker and consulting_detective, I'm sure it's going to be cool for y'all! If there's not an extra kettle, a saucepan will work fine until you make it to the store. Happy cohabitation beats happy heating of water, any day.
Best wishes to you both.
