Yes, things are much better. [livejournal.com profile] cons_detective is napping on the sofa with his feet in my lap and has calmed down a lot since this morning.

But man, I'm telling you. Waking up to a kettle being thrown across the kitchen is not good for PTSD. So I woke up in a bad mood because he was in a bad mood, and I may have come off a bit more harsh than I'd meant to in my post this morning. Add to that I didn't get my tea because the kettle had broken when it knocked the drying rack for the dishes off the counter, and no-one was happy.

Again, and I don't think I said this enough last time, thank you to those who were trying to be comforting to him yesterday. I think it does help him to know that not everyone out there dislikes him, even if he doesn't quite know what to do with that information.

I'm glad to hear things are calmed down. Sorry that you have to buy a new kettle.

Is the offer from yesterday still valid for...tomorrow, at the earliest?

I'm glad things have calmed down. I get like that myself sometimes - everyone hates me and is trying to fuck with me!!! - and I know it helps to have someone around who can smooth things out and make the world make sense again.

I haven't thrown a tea kettle, but I did once throw a candlestick at a boy who was being horrible. Fortunately my sports skills are very bad and I missed (and the candlestick was fine).

You should talk to him about it. It doesn't do him justice to be so influenced by such petty matters. Neither it does to you.
(This is exactly what I meant when I told him I worry about you. Just saying.)

I'm so sorry your kettle is broken! The last time that happened to me, it was the first day of finals week. I'm sure that my wail of despair could be heard across campus. Hope you get a new one.

I'm glad the both of you are feeling better.
