He might not be wrong about the wrist. My daughter walked around (well, hobbled around) on a broken ankle for three weeks because the doctor at the emergency clinic looked at the x-rays and said it was only sprained.
Actually, she'd broken a growth plate. You do NOT want to see your doctor make that kind of face that the specialist made when those x-rays came back, believe me.
