cute enough to shoot you down

It's been a busy few days. Yesterday, Harry came over to apologise, and only wound up dragging Sherlock into everything. She tried to say that she didn't need treatment, and on top of it, I'm used to living with an addict anyway, so why bother? Which... well, doesn't follow at all, actually. There's only a few of you who can see this, and you were bound to find out anyway, so here goes.

Yes, Sherlock does have a history with drugs. Yes, that's why he went to France Dover. Someone found out about this history and told me, and when I tried to ask about it, he went on the defensive and over-reacted. A lot. When he came back home, we had a proper talk about it, and he says he's been clean for years. And I believe him. He didn't talk a whole lot about it, and I didn't push for information, but he did mention going through treatment and one or two relapses. But the point is he got help. So no, Harry. You do not get to compare yourself to him.

So he got home and I let off a bit of steam at him, which he never really seems to mind. Especially when Harry is concerned. I like to believe it's because he understands why I need to rant a bit sometimes. A little bit after that, he went over to Mike's to discuss the work he's doing for them. That was a quiet hour or so I enjoyed to myself, until he came home in an even worse mood than I'd been in earlier. I don't know exactly what happened, beyond him and Jen disagreeing on something. After that, he spent about three hours texting back and forth to someone while not talking to me, and I'm wondering if he'll ever tell me what happened.

Things sort of calmed down until this morning when I got an IM from Mary. Apparently Sherlock's jealous of her. That's news to me, and I'm not really sure how to handle it. I did have to have a talk with him about speaking for me when I haven't even given him my opinion on the matter, and now he's gone and locked himself in a cupboard downstairs and started texting people like mad again.

Mary: I will be there tomorrow, but I'm not sure how long I'll be staying. Mainly because Sherlock's declared that he's staying in tomorrow. That's probably for the best, actually.



But speaking of all this, I went to a al-anon meeting with Clara last night. It was informative and sort of help me understand a bit about what's going on with both Harry and Sherlock, who had stayed at home. Clara mentioned wanting to go more often, and depending on whether or not I have time, I may go with her. Maybe us going can convince Harry to come along.

Yes, what w_harry posted was true. Ha ha. Very funny. You can stop sending me emails and PMs now. I've heard it all, twice.

And yes. cons_detective has pretty much taken down his account. I don't know if he's still going to be online at all, or what his plans are. Frankly, I didn't ask. He just got a big commission from storm_ford yesterday, and was probably going to be spending most of his time on that anyway, even before all this crap happened.

Thanks to everyone who's been there for us the last few days. It was a battle of will power to even get into work today, but once I was there, things weren't as bad as they could have been. At least most people had the tact to leave us alone. To those few who did try to come in, I don't know what you were thinking with that. You know I wasn't going to agree to see you anyway.


Bill and Mike: Hot Fuzz is still on. I need it, after the way this week has been. S says he doesn't mind if it's just the four of us, but would much rather do it here. I'm not sure what put him off most about going to your place, Bill, but he's not budging on the matter. And frankly, I'm not going to push, because I agree with him.
