Mary and my sister brought over a cat today. A bloody cat. It's a big, fat fucker, too, and it's already shedded all over the place.

She calls it Her Revenge. S calls it Maurice. I call it Free Cat to Good Home.

One small word of advice - the moment it pisses on anything that isn't its litter box, get rid of it. It won't stop, and your flat will reek of cat pee forever. (Sorry, S. But its true.)

It's adorable! If shedding is a problem it may be it's diet. There are relatively cheap but good foods out there that may stop that.

Hope things work out, I think he's lovely.

You know, Pip I was just thinking the same thing. Diet and stress with the new living situation can cause excess shedding. Sort of the same with the peeing on things - except they do that for territorial reasons and usually don't stop.
