It's that time of year, all right

Everyone's getting sick, life at the surgery is insane, and I barely have time to breathe. I suppose I should be glad that people are coming to us for their sniffles instead of clogging up A+E, but still, there's not much I can do for a runny nose. At least it's not as bad as the year everyone and their mother's donkey thought they were going to die of swine flu. We still get people like that a couple times a day, which is pretty normal, but jeez. That winter was horrible.
Speaking of being sick, I have a very miserable
consulting_detective on the sofa right now. He's not as irritating as you might think when he gets sick. Mostly he's just been asleep, but he can get pretty noisy when he's actually awake. This does create a problem for me though, since I have to be in Wimbledon tomorrow until pretty late. Anyone mind stopping by some time in the afternoon to make sure S gets something to eat and isn't running a fever and all that stuff? He doesn't need to be babysat or anything; just with how much he's been sleeping, he probably won't be awake long enough to make himself some soup or something.
